Theory of Thermoelectric Technology

Discovered by J.C.A. Peltier in 1834, this phenomenon involves the heating or cooling of the junction of two thermoelectric materials by passing current through the junction. During operation, direct current flows through the thermoelectric device causing heat to be transferred from one side to the other, creating a cold and hot side. (If the direction of the current is reversed, the cold and hot sides are changed.)
Thermoelectric technology adopt solid cooling system, these can offer many advantages compared to the other heating /cooling technologies: they are small ,compact ,lightweight ,use solid state construction and have no moving parts ,fluids or gases , low noise ,environment friendly , so it is used in many small scale refrigeration field ,such as civil ,military ,and scientific research since 1950s . In recent years, many countries are looking for the products which can constantly substituting CFC. Nowadays, how to protect the human living environment, create a harmonious nature environment and development the human civilization is one of the hottest topics, If widely use thermoelectric material into the civil used cooler , the quality of people 's life will changed better ,accord with the national long-term economy plan, We put resource and environment as the primary matter in developing human life , and thermoelectric refrigeration technology has just filled in this technological blank, opened up the new way for refrigeration technical application, have the wide application prospects .
Over half a century research, thermoelectric technology has already entered into our life gradually. We believe that , with the appearance of the high-performance material , the compressor medium and small-scale refrigeration products will be eliminating gradually
